Is Network Marketing Success For You?

Network marketing success is not that hard. But what really gets in the way of ones network marketing success is not what most think.

I'll explain.

Recently I was talking with a good friend of mine who was once in an MLM/network marketing deal with me.  I called him to discuss something that I wanted to get off my chest and of course the conversation kind of morphed into something else related to MLM.

I began to confirm with him if he had received the same email from an Internet marketeer that I had just received. It discussed this new training seminar on Internet marketing that the successful ezine author was sponsoring somewhere on the west coast of the US.

And, of course, the course itself was for an seemingly astronomical amount of around $2,500 for three days of 'intense' marketing overload. Rrrrrrright.

Now, for one, I've never, and I mean never attended one of these network marketing success and internet marketing success 'people are crawling on broken glass and pouring iodine and salt on their wounds to attend' be-all-and-end-all marketing seminars.

I don't care how much the people speaking at the course have to teach me. I can't see spending literally a small fortune to learn stuff, even about network marketing success, that for the most part can be found online in free or paid-for ebooks or ecourses for cumulatively much less green then the cost of a seminar like this one.

But, that wasn't why I was discussing this stuff with my MLM friend. I was asking him what he thought of all the stuff in the email and on the website page that was selling the course.

The website was showcasing all the folks who would be involved in doing the training sessions for the course. People ranging from the usual rags-to-riches stories, to young men and women who came out of nowhere and now make six-figure-incomes online. People of all ages and races and backgrounds and online histories would contribute to the teachings of this weekend seminar.

But overall I found myself rather disturbed by the whole thing. It was confusing me why I found myself thinking why I was working so hard in MLM and yet my path to network marketing success wasn't appearing more quickly then it was. I couldn't figure out 'what these people had done' that got them to where they were and at a place, financially, that I still wanted to be at.

In essence, I was pissed. I was mad because as usual I was reading about some else's success. And that bothered me. It always had.

I found that I've always found myself intrigued in recent years online to read about how others found their path to success online and even doing MLM and network marketing. I read about MLMer's who found riches doing MLM in the same time I had. They were retired and I was still plugging away at the old 9-to-5. That used to bug me to no end. Still does.

But reading about the success of these seminar trainers again reminded me of how I could read that others were finding success online, but it still seemed to be eluding me at the level I desired. And again, I found myself feeling frustrated at what I was reading about how these others were at a place that I only wished I could attain.

But the real insight came as I discussed all this with this good friend. And the insight just popped into my head and was so clear it was scary.

You see, I've been struggling with this ever since the Internet began to show itself as a viable avenue to financial success. But I just didn't like hearing about others success because I would always think to myself 'okay, what are they doing that I'm not?' because I wasn't successful to my satisfaction yet. I would feel excited about the realistic potential of earning serious money online and yet frustrated at the same time because that income earner wasn't me.

But now I knew why. Finally, that proverbial lightbulb turned on in my thick noggin and it all became crystal clear.

I wasn't frustrated at those folks' success. I was frustrated about my own limitations and my lack of success to the level I wanted was a clear indication of my limited abilities to earn money online.

Let me rephrase.

I was frustrated because what was staring me in the face when I read about others' success was not the frustration of them being successful. What was staring me in the face was the clear fact that I wasn't as successful as they were because I didn't have the personal abilities and resources they had.

If I did, I would be making the serious income they were.

It kind of reinforced that saying about you can lead a person to water but not make him drink it.

But these people were the type that were given the chance, whether it was by being in 'the right place' at the 'right time', or whatever. They had the opportunity presented to them and they were ABLE to do something with it.

I know I have the ability to do more than I do. And I've had the ability to make some serious dough in network marketing deals presented to me many a time.

The real question comes down to, why haven't I used my abilities to make the deal a network marketing success for me so I could be 'one of those successful people'?

That's what was frustrating me. I was staring right in the face of my own limitations.

Is that a pleasant thing to know about oneself? No.

Is it necessary to see that in oneself? Yes, if one hopes to grow beyond where they are.

You see, one has to know their limitations. Because their limitations are not true limitations. They're limitations in their view of themselves. Not limitations in their abilities.

So the way out of this limited view of oneself is to change the view.

How?

By working on changing how one sees the 'walls' that are in front of them and being used as the excuses for their lack of success.

I'm doing what I can to continue to find out about these personal walls that are limiting my real desires about network marketing success and other areas of my life.

Create a new way out for yourself. Learn your limitations. In all areas of your life.

You'll find you will be opening up a whole new world of possibilities for yourself and your network marketing success.
