MLM Scams are EVERYWHERE. Or are They?

Exactly what ARE MLM scams? An MLM person lying? Promises not kept? A bad company? A bad deal? Find out first so you know what to watch for.

Everyday on the Internet there seems to appear another MLM deal that is considered to be some sort of scam. That's a real shame because it's also not true.

You see, a true scam in MLM is not what most people think it is when they're researching and looking into getting into MLM. Most folks think that a scam in MLM is something that causes most people to get 'taken' or almost everybody loses their money. Or what is promised is not followed through with.

Well, sometimes this is the case but more often then not what at first appears to be a scam really isn't. It's more a lack of correct information so as to properly view what's being presented.

Am I getting kind of vague and sounding kind of loosy-goosy here? Sorry.

I'll explain...

Let's first start out with a definition of the word 'scam'. The dictionary defines the word scam as being a fraudulent business scheme or to use an older term... a 'swindle'.

So a scam is a swindle.

I know...not much help. Let's go further.

How is a 'swindle' defined? Again, the dictionary says a swindle occurs when cheating or fraudulent activity takes place.

So let's bring this all together...

A Scam is a Business Scheme That Cheats or Tricks Those Involved

So just how are you going to know that what you're in or what you're considering getting involved with is an MLM scam? Unfortunately, you most likely won't know that an MLM deal is an MLM scam until after it's too late and...

...The cow is out of the barn.

...Elvis has exited the building.

...The train has left the station. mlm scams gif1

Okay, enough silliness...

You see, to correctly and safely identify MLM scams a person has to first know a lot about MLM.

But most beginning MLMers and those just considering MLM don't know much about MLM so what most folks do is they automatically group all of MLM, or at least most MLM deals, into the group of 'MLM scams'.

Although this is not fair to the MLM industry it does help many people, who know very little about MLM, from getting taken by those few MLM scams that do exist because they then decide to not get involved in MLM.

Okay, so just what can you do to protect yourself from MLM scams? Tricky question. And it has a tricky answer.

You have to do your homework and undertake a very detailed investigation of the deal you're looking at.

You have to have a keen understanding of how MLM really works so that what may at first appear okay turns out to be smelling like a scam, after a little investigation.

And what smelled funny may actually turn out, after a thorough look, to be okay to pursue.

You have to get learned on the whole concept of MLM scams.

You have to trust your gut - if something 'feels' too good to be true, it most likely is.

You see...

There Really is Only One Problem That Truly is the Cause of People Getting into Trouble With MLM Scams

Only one. And I know this is going to sound kinda funky but it's the absolute truth...

At some level the person makes an emotional decision about doing an MLM program. And when the emotions clear up and level-headedness appears the person begins to see the deal, for the first time, for what it actually is.

And more often than not the deal isn't what it first appeared, through emotion laden eyes, to be.

So keep your emotions out of any decision you make about joining, or not joining, an MLM deal and you'll be virtually guaranteed to not find yourself in the middle of another of those many MLM scams.

I guarantee it. mlm scams gif1

So, schools in session and it's time to assign you your homework to get you wise to MLM scams, okay?

Let's begin...

Let's begin by getting back to that loose definition of MLM 'scams'...

'A business scheme that cheats or tricks those involved.'

What are people being cheated and trick out of? Money of course. Hard earned money that they most likely can't afford to lose.

Now, it would be good to be able to tell from a pretty far distance that an MLM business deal that one is looking at or thinking about joining is one of the many MLM scams, wouldn't it?

Well, the next few tips should help you to do this so you're a little more protected in your decisions and to make sure they're no longer emotional ones...

As you may have already suspected don't fall for anything that even begins to smell of 'easy money'. At least if that is what the deal is being promoted as. You see, with MLM there is no such thing as easy money.

Doing MLM is easy.

But it does take work. Long persistent efforts that most people are just not willing to do. Instead they think that all they have to do is learn a few MLM secrets and they'll be set for life.

Now, if something you're looking at is being sold to you with lots of hype, blownup words, and exaggerations - then run for the nearest exit. Fast.

I don't care who you talk to, I'd dare you to find one person whose business is 'exploding' and 'growing beyond belief' or 'going exponential' without it being some sort of illegal recruiting game.

And finally, as for the business opportunities that say 'everyone can do this' and the other ones that flash big dollar signs and wave photocopies of paychecks around during meetings and on websites...keep a close eye out for these.

These deals are most likely the sort of deal that you're going to end up being taken on. And they're most likely breaking the law and commiting some sort of MLM fraud with those tactics too.

There are other aspects of MLM scams that you would benefit from being educated on before you get too deep into an MLM deal so, again, I would suggest that you do your homework.

And stay out of the emotional side of MLM.

Stay awake.

Stay aware to what's truly being presented to you and you'll be fine.

So, to sum up...

...I hope this information has given you a few insights into exactly what MLM scams are and what they're not. And how you can better ensure that you aren't blindly made a victim of one of the many MLM scams that truly should be avoided and could be detected with just a little bit of knowledge and insight.

Good luck. You just might need it. mlm scams gif1
