MLM Phone Leads You Buy You Call, And...?
You still get poor results. Why?
Because these are not just MLM phone leads - they're real live breathing human beings with just as many problems, fears, and distractions as the rest of us.
...No one picks up the phone so voicemail becomes your best friend.
...No one signs on with you.
...No one calls you back.
...No one really wants to download your wonderful opportunity or product info.
...No one goes to your stunning corporate self-replicated website.
"But these were supposed to be 'good' phone leads." you say.
"These were supposed to be nothing but folks who wanted to hear about my biz." you say.
"They were supposed to all be valid phone numbers and 100 percent connections to real live people... What's wrong with these people? I don't get it." you say.
"I paid good money for these phone leads. I didn't know that that woman I called had been dead for over a year now! I didn't know that that guy was in jail for the last six months! I didn't know that that name on the list was actually a fourteen year old KID! I was told by the dude I bought them from that they'd be good phone leads!" you say.
If none of this is sounding familiar, trust me when I say that it will... after you've made several hundred or thousand calls to those names on a MLM phone leads list. It's inevitable that this occurs but there are ways to ensure that these occurrences are minimized and your spirit is left as polished and as close to original condition as is possible.
I guarantee it. And I'll tell you how.
See, as I said earlier, you have to remember that you're dealing with people here versus just names on a page. So, of course it's critical that a person be properly trained so as to best be able to handle a phone list and contacting these many hundreds or thousands of people.
Phoning this many leads takes a lot of effort and a person has to overcome their fear of hearing the dreaded 'NO, get lost!' and other not so nice ways of putting it.
They also have to give themselves an internal butt-kicking to get themselves to actually make the calls and continue making the calls to their MLM phone leads list on a regular basis.
And then there's the whole area of what does one actually say to them and more importantly how does one say it to get the person the least bit interested? An MLMer might be getting poor results because they're saying the wrong thing(s) to people and turning off even potential prospects. Again, this is where training in the proper way to deal with any kind of MLM phone leads list is critical.
Were not talking rocket science training here. After all, MLM is every (wo)man's business. But a person does need to know a few things upfront about MLM phone leads and how to do those few things right. The proper teacher of these important few things is critical.
You must get yourself hooked up with someone who's been there and achieved success with phone leads (and contacting them in all other manners).
And that person must be someone you feel you can trust.
But I'm kinda getting ahead of myself here. Let's take a more important look at the actual lead source and where you got those MLM phone leads from in the first place.
You see, as I said earlier you're going to find out many things about your MLM phone leads only when you actually begin to contact them via the phone. You're going to find out things that the person or the website that sold you the leads list didn't quite tell you the truth about or misled you into believing.
And those things can be rather unsettling and leaving you feeling, perhaps, ripped off and cheated.
You're going to find out that even though you were told that the MLM phone leads you were buying had an almost 100 percent connect rate that in actuality it's going to be much lower...
Disconnects.
List typos.
Duplicate numbers.
Fax numbers.
Dead ends.
Fake numbers.
Misleading numbers (to the police!).
And add on to that the actual percentage of numbers that you can dial through to but don't get the right person, that is, the person who is actually the person whose name makes up the lead...
They died.
They moved.
They lied about who they are.
They're incarcerated.
They're too young.
They're near death now.
They've had a medical problem since and now can't speak coherently.
Trust me on these, I'm not joking.
When this happens your 'good lead' percentage is going to go down a good bit.
And finally, let's factor in the actual rate of folks you actually get to talk to. Get used to it now that the VAST majority of contacts you're going to make a contact through will be to that person's voicemail. So you'll need to come up with a good teaser message that's no more than 30 seconds long. And 30 seconds isn't much time to say much of anything. Go ahead, see for yourself. Try it.
So, even with a good MLM phone leads list you're only going to getting through to (actually person-to-person live connversation) about 20 - 30 percent of the folks on that list. And yet I haven't even gone into the issues of:
- the right time of day to call
- the issue of changing time zones
- finding out how old is the list
- what's the contact guarantee and replacement guarantee
- what type of list is it... exactly who are you calling?
- the new North American direct marketing telephone solicitors prohibition legislation
I may be sounding a little less than positive about all this information but I hope you're beginning to see that using MLM phone leads is not just a matter of 'smiling and dialing' your way to MLM riches like your upline has, or will, tell you. This used to be the case perhaps twenty years ago but in the 21st century it's a whole new beast.
So, all of this is why it's absolutely critical that you get yourself hooked up with a person who will show you exactly where to get good MLM phone leads, train you on what to do with them, and teach you about what to watch out for when you're calling them.
