MLM Lists - Buy and Use With Caution

You see, all lists are not the same. Although that may be what you are told when you first look at a list company's variety of lists. They want you to think that they have the best lists and you'll get the best results for your MLM biz by buying and using their list.

But sorry to say, that just is not the case. So you have to stay aware to what is going on with these MLM lists companies and be knowledgeable about some of their tactics to get you believing in them and buying their lists.

Now, let me clarify that not all MLM lists companies are out to trick you. Just some are. But...

Again, that is what makes all the difference.

To start out with, don't believe everything they say on their website. I don't care who they are. They may be reputable but you don't know that unless you know them.

So scrutinize what they reveal to you on their webpages. And if they're offline get them to mail you some marketing information so you can detail that too.

Ask for references - and contact those references to find out their experiences. And realize that the references may only be given to you because they had positive experiences/results with the list company, so ask them some oddball question like "If you could improve one thing about the MLM lists company you dealt with, what would that be?" And then read between the lines of their answer. It'll speak volumes if you listen closely.

And to get more (hopefully) unbiased references about the MLM lists companies go to a good website forum and ask your questions there. I'd recommend some but you need to realize that you don't just want to go to websites focusing on MLM stuff. You need to also go to sites that deal with general marketing, or direct marketing issues.

Of course, all of this does depend on the type of MLM lists you're dealing with or considering getting and working with.

You'll have to get up to speed with different issues when dealing with MLM fax lists, such as possibly getting sued, then when you're dealing with MLM mailing lists, such as getting a dead end list, so you will have different questions for both.

And you'll also have different aspects for each that you'll have to learn.

So...

Oh, one last hint...even if you intend on buying 5000 names and contacts from the MLM lists company you chose you should start out with only buying perhaps 500 to see how the list pans out.

Start small and work your way big. That way you don't get hung out to dry with any of your MLM lists.

So again, find out what you need to know about MLM fax lists and also MLM mailing lists and you should be off to a good start.
